Case File: Power Man

Compared to what it cost the government to create superhuman, I can do it for very little. What it does cost me the Defenders pay out of their own pockets (Though Valkerie doesn't have any pockets while she's paying me). They're maxing out their credit cards and clearing out their bank accounts to become heroes. I can't decide if this makes them 'wannabe' heroes or not. Are they just trend setters on the next fad? Or is this a genuine calling for them? I can't say. If it is a fad, reality will set in soon enough when somebody like the Hulk or Captain America bash their faces in. God, I was just like them starting out… Power Man is seeing the reality of being broke, he forgot he'd need to be able to buy a whole new wardrobe when I gave him the growth hormone (a permenant version that keeps him at 7'4" and makes his shoulders 4" wider). The good news is that his new size, and the added strength and durability from the sub-dermal mesh; Power Man has been getting several offers from nightclubs for him to work the door. The sub-dermal mesh is micro-robotic (not nano) meso-armor that can disburse impact deflect cutting or penetrating implements. Come to think of it - oh my god- I did it again! I subconsciously ripped off the nanotech armor Howard Stark developed thirty years ago. I'm such a tool!
