DEATH (skeletal) lifts the soul of the newborn Thanos from his body, which is
held in the arms of the Android Doctor. A white aura surrounds all figures, and
the background has turned black.

Android Doctor was glad I was born dead, obviously he saw me as some
abomination. Perhaps I am.

the purist sound I could ever hear. Her words to me ‘Return to your mother

Mistress’ promise would have brought great distraught. But even as an infant I
didn’t have those primitive fears. No, I took Death’s words as she meant them;
no matter what occurs in life the Mistress will collect you indiscriminately. I
had a great advantage over the majority of the universe, from the very
beginning I knew that there is more to experience after your mortal body no
longer functions.

chores to attend to.

Thanos is the only sentient resident. Which means no innocent by standers will
be hurt when he kills me.

lands beside the scarecrow. Note to artist: For purposes of being
dramatic, make sure to depict DRAX as especially huge and bulking. The reader
needs to get the idea that Drax has the advantage if he takes on THANOS.

named Cronos reanimated me in a new form. I have the raw power to kill Thanos.

stands on his porch with identical armor (as the scarecrow) on. A small ORB
hovers over his shoulder.

ORB (metallic): Master shall I have the transporter disperse his molecules as you
commanded for those colonizers?

THANOS: No, I will deal with this cretin personally.

THANOS: After all Thanos is a gracious host.

energizes his fist and grinds his teeth.

GREEN CAPTION: Thanos is smug for a reason. My chance against him is slim,
because he is much more cunning than I am. Even with my full intelligence
returned.

at you Thanos! I plan on making it count!

THANOS
is in mid leap with his fist energized. DRAX stands ready for the attack
beneath THANOS in full rage and his fist is also charged.

(2) THANOS: Yes, this will be
your last shot at me.

DRAX blast THANOS in the air, discharging from both fists. The blast envelops THANOS’ entire body.

(3) DRAX: I will send you to
your beloved Mistress!

A
charred THANOS tackles DRAX. DRAX starts to fall back with the impact.

(1) THANOS: No cur, you are much
closer to the grave than I.

DRAX: I have come back from the dead to kill you before! I will do it again if
I need to!

regains his balance, after swatting off THANOS.

What is this? Drax knows something useful. I must find out what he is ranting
about.

an energized fist.

master, though I don’t understand how it was so easily gained.
(4) THANOS: Drax has suffered
repeated psychic damage over the years. That insight allowed me to exploit this
weakness by discharging energy near his scarred grey matter.

ARMS work to fit a device on the back of the destroyer’s neck.

THANOS CAPTION: Anticipating useful information from the brute, I have him
boarded on my personal vessel, the Sanctuary. Instead of simply dislodging the
information I desire from Drax, I have decided to fit him with telepathic relay
device. Now I alone control all his brain functions.

sits on his commanders thrown, in front of him is a hologram of our solar
system, he points at Saturn. In the background are huge windows that show the
darkness of space.

THANOS CAPTION: Drax attacked me because he didn’t want to take the chance of
it not being he to destroy me. I thank Drax for giving me a chance to provoke
fate. This homecoming will be a pleasant change in my routine.

computer starts beeping.

is shocked as he looks on to the screen of the counsel that now has ISSAC on
it.

problem. It has phase and energy flux disrupters, making teleportation very
difficult.

In his hands THANOS creates energy spheres. Several space mines explode in the

90% of the population when he attacked with his murderous pirates. He took our
mother. Thanos killed his own mother.

more then enough time to disarm the device, just not enough to follow me as
well. If they have parished it was because of their own ineptitude.

starts to disappear as he stands in the “spot light” of a disk that is part of
some kind of teleportation device. The device is manned by a droid.

ready to slit his throat should he make the slightest move.
