Where did you get your ideas from?
To focus on my core projects (MENTAL, Cement Truck and Weight of Eternity) I spend a lot of time pondering how to shoehorn something interesting or amusing into a project I am already working on- and then thinking about the implications/impact it would have on that character. The Infinite Piss theory was something my friends in Missouri would claim to be attempting when they would be knocking back (usually a soda) a beer while taking a piss (usually outside).
Is that really how you hurt your ass? Are the non-fiction really true?
In "The CTA is a Pain In My Ass" that is indeed my ass and that is how I injured it. And yes, everything in non-fiction is true or at least percieved to be true by me.
Is MENTAL autobiographical? Are you Chase?
NO! If I had much of a dating life this would have ruined it. A some of what Chase thinks and feels is me exaggerating or exploring an idea/emotion. But mostly Chase/MENTAL is based on friends and/or stories they've told me. The stalking came from girls stalking my friend Jon and from city girls thinking that everyone is out to stalk them. MAYBE WE JUST WANT OUR COMICS BACK BUT DON'T WANT TO ADMIT WE'RE THAT PETTY! (and calling once every six weeks or so, does not a stalker make)
Are you full of shit or what? No one can be as messed up as you are...
I am, as far as I can tell, the real deal. I try to make it very clear what is real and isn't on this page (and in life). Things that happen in my fiction may be actually thinly veiled truth, but the truth is told as honestly as possible (meaning I try not to ommit important details). When/what are you updating?
I'm shooting for every friday to have something new up. I'm working out how to make it even more structured, but still realistic.
First Friday of the month: Third Coast Press/Puppet in Chief
Second Friday: Undeclared (looking at Cement Truck)
Third Friday: Undeclared (probably Misc. such as MENTAL and the Evolution book)
Fourth/Last Friday: Weight of Eternity
Are these questions really from letters or are you making them up?
